Formaat is following the debate on the accreditation of competences with rising interest. As a youth work organization Formaat is a proponent of the recognition and the accreditation of the competences youngsters obtain outside the school walls. Young people don't only learn at schools, they also obtain important competences in their free time, in youth work, by practicing their hobbies,... .
According to the recognition and accreditation of informal and non-formal learning, Formaat wants to reach its goals with research, experimental projects and preparatory policy work.
ECYC is the European confederation of youth club organizations. ECYC stimulates the cooperation of youth clubs in Europe and promotes programmes of youth exchange, joint training and seminars. In addition the confederation wants to increase the international awareness amongst young people. ECYC is also following the debate on the recognition of non-formal learning with rising interest.
